Ensure your knowledge is up to date regarding Jersey Property Law and Agreements to Lease with BCR Law and RICS.
Overview of Jersey Property Law
In the first part of the seminar, we will provide delegates with an overview of Jersey property law by covering the following topics: where Jersey property law comes from; which areas apply UK law and which do not; ownership and title; boundaries; voisinage and statutory nuisance; servitudes; charges: how to secure property in Jersey; the legal process of conveyancing property and statutory consents.
Agreement to Lease
When negotiating the terms of an agreement to lease, whether you are acting for the landlord or tenant, great care must be taken to ensure your client’s interests are protected. During this section of the seminar, we will take you through the fundamental basics included in an agreement to lease, in particular where entry into the lease is conditional upon consents (such as planning permission) or where the landlord or tenant is to carry out works on the property.
The location will be, BCR Law’s Conference Suite at 7 Library Place, St Helier
